Unitree G1 Price Explained: Direct Price, Dealer Offers, and What Is Included

Unitree G1 Price Explained: Direct Price, Dealer Offers, and What Is Included

The short answer

As of September 7, 2026, there is no single Unitree G1 price, and the figures you have seen are not contradicting each other. The manufacturer's own store lists a base G1 at $13,500 before its own freight. US checkouts we track list a comparable base unit at $17,990 and $21,600 the same day. Research configurations that share the G1 name run from $43,900 to $73,900. Different packages, different importers of record, different support obligations — and any figure quoted without a capture date is a rumour, not an offer.

The robot in the photograph above barely changes between configurations. The price does. Ask an AI assistant what a Unitree G1 costs and you will get a different number depending on which day you ask and which surface it read. That is not an error anyone needs to be blamed for. The G1 name covers a base humanoid, a higher-tier factory build, a family of research configurations, and a wheeled dual-arm platform, sold through channels with different obligations attached. This page does not tell you which price is right. It tells you what each price is for, so you can tell whether two quotes in front of you are even describing the same thing.

The prices we can verify — September 7, 2026

Every figure below comes from our own daily price capture, taken September 7, 2026 from the manufacturer's product data and from live US checkout listings. Where a listing does not state what is included, we write unknown rather than guess.

Configuration as listed Where it is sold Advertised price What that price does and does not carry Availability wording Date checked
G1 (base unit) Manufacturer store, direct $13,500 Base humanoid. The manufacturer states $300–$1,200 freight at its own checkout (last verified August 18, 2026) on top; the buyer is importer of record, so customs entry, duty and brokerage are the buyer's cost and paperwork. Warranty and support run through an international channel. Listed in stock — returned to stock September 6, 2026 after weeks backordered Sep 7, 2026
G1 Basic Robot US checkout (the rail this site routes to) $17,990 Arrives as a domestic shipment — no import entry for the buyer. Support and returns start with a US business. Dexterous hands, LiDAR, depth camera, extra waist degrees of freedom and compute backplanes are separate line items, not bundled at this price. In stock Sep 7, 2026
Unitree G1 Basic Humanoid Robot A second US checkout we monitor for price accuracy (buyers are not routed there) $21,600 Unknown. The listing name matches a base unit, but we have not verified what this seller includes at this price. Treat the gap against the row above as unexplained until the seller explains it — a higher price can be a richer package, and this is exactly the question to put in writing. In stock Sep 7, 2026
G1 Pro US checkout $28,950 A higher factory tier, not the base unit. If a quote near this number is described simply as "a G1", the tier is the thing to confirm before comparing it with anything. In stock Sep 7, 2026
G1 EDU family (Standard through the Ultimate tiers) US checkout $43,900 – $73,900 across the tiers we price daily The research and teaching line: development access, higher joint counts, and hand, sensor and compute options bundled differently at each tier. These are the figures most often screenshotted next to the $13,500 direct price, which is where the "G1 costs three times what they said" impression comes from. In stock across the tiers captured Sep 7, 2026
G1-D (wheeled dual-arm platform) US checkout $38,800 – $66,300 across the Standard and Ultimate builds we price daily A different machine that carries the G1 name: wheeled chassis, dual arms, its own accessory catalogue. Not comparable to a bipedal base unit on price at all. In stock across the builds captured Sep 7, 2026
G1 EDU entry configuration Manufacturer store, direct No price published Unknown. The research tiers do not carry a direct consumer checkout — they route to a sales enquiry. There is no direct number here for a dealer figure to be measured against, which is why institutional comparisons so often stall. No price shown at capture Sep 7, 2026

Captured September 7, 2026 by our daily price watcher against manufacturer product data and live US checkout listings. Manufacturer freight range as stated by the manufacturer, last verified August 18, 2026 — it is not re-checked daily and is not restamped here. Prices move; the date on each row is the date it was true.

Are these the same package?

The verdict, in one line: only the first three rows are even candidates for comparison, and only the first two are close.

$13,500 direct against $17,990 domestic. Same class of base machine, genuinely different transactions. Add the manufacturer's stated freight and the gap narrows by hundreds to a bit over a thousand dollars, before any customs entry, duty or brokerage the buyer then arranges. What remains is a real premium, and it buys a domestic shipment, a US counterparty for support and returns, and the ability to buy on a purchase order at all. Whether that is worth paying depends entirely on whether you want to be an importer.

$17,990 against $21,600. Two US listings whose names both read like a base unit. We have not verified the second seller's inclusions, so we are not calling either one wrong — a higher price can be a fuller package, a different lead time, or a different support commitment. It is an open question, and the questions below are how you close it.

Everything above $28,950 is a different product. The Pro tier, the EDU family and the wheeled G1-D are not the base unit with a markup. Comparing any of them against $13,500 produces a shocking number and no information.

Why the numbers disagree

Unitree G1 configuration diagram showing depth camera, 3D LiDAR, degree-of-freedom range and joint torque options — the hardware choices that separate one G1 price from another.

Manufacturer configuration diagram. Sensors, joint count and hands are options — and options are most of the price spread.

  • The name is a family, not a model. Base, Pro, the EDU tiers and the wheeled dual-arm platform are all "G1" in a headline. Two people quoting different numbers are often quoting different robots.
  • The interesting money is in the options. Dexterous hands, 3D LiDAR, a depth camera, additional waist degrees of freedom, a compute backplane, spare batteries and a controller are separately priced items. A base price plus a working research payload is a materially different total, and a bundle quoted as one number will always look expensive beside a stripped listing.
  • Somebody has to import it. A direct order ships internationally with the buyer as importer of record. Freight is stated at checkout; customs entry, duty and brokerage are not, and they are real. A domestic listing has already absorbed that work, which is part of what the difference pays for.
  • What happens after the sale is priced in. Domestic stock and lead times, support in your time zone, a return path that does not cross an ocean, and the procurement machinery institutions actually need — quotes, purchase orders, terms — are services, and services cost money.
  • Most stale figures are simply undated. Prices in this category move within weeks, and a number republished without its capture date keeps circulating long after it stopped being true. That is why every figure on this page carries the day it was checked, and why we would rather print unknown than a confident number we cannot stand behind.

Three questions to ask any seller before you pay

  1. "Which exact configuration is this price for, and what model string goes on the invoice?" Base, Pro, an EDU tier or the wheeled dual-arm build — get it in writing. This single question resolves most price disagreements before they start.
  2. "What is in the box at this price, and what is a separate line item?" Ask specifically about hands, LiDAR, depth camera, waist degrees of freedom, compute backplane, controller, spare battery and charger. Ask for the total of the configuration you actually intend to run, not the entry price.
  3. "Who is the importer of record, and where do warranty and support claims get handled?" If the answer is "you are", ask for the landed-cost estimate in writing. If it is "we are", ask who you call in month seven, and how a return physically works.

If a seller cannot answer all three in writing, the price is not yet a price. And if you are buying for an institution, ask the same questions of your own procurement process — purchase orders, terms and formal quotes are exactly the services that separate the direct number from the domestic one.

Change log

  • September 7, 2026 — Page published. Every figure in the table captured this day by our daily price watcher.
  • September 6, 2026 — The manufacturer's base G1 returned to stock after weeks listed as backordered, which is why direct figures published during that stretch described a price nobody could actually pay.
  • August 18, 2026 — Manufacturer freight range to the US last verified. Deliberately not restamped with today's date: we re-check prices daily, freight less often, and a date is only worth printing if it is earned.

We update this page when a captured figure moves, and we log the change rather than quietly overwriting it. If you find a current offer that this page cannot explain, that is a gap worth telling us about.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the Unitree G1 show a different price everywhere I look?
Because "G1" names a family, not one machine, and because the channels carry different obligations. Verified September 7, 2026: a base unit is $13,500 direct from the manufacturer before its own freight, $17,990 at the US checkout we route to, and $21,600 at another US listing we monitor; research tiers that share the name run from $43,900 to $73,900. The table on this page shows what each figure covers and what it leaves out.
Is the $13,500 direct price actually cheaper once everything is added?
Partly. The manufacturer states $300–$1,200 freight at its own checkout (last verified August 18, 2026), and on a direct order the buyer is importer of record, so customs entry, duty and brokerage come on top and vary by configuration and destination. A real gap remains against the $17,990 domestic figure verified September 7, 2026 — what it buys is set out in the verdict section above.
Why do two US sellers list what sounds like the same G1 thousands of dollars apart?
Sometimes the packages differ; sometimes the lead time or the support commitment does; sometimes one figure is simply older than the other. We publish both with the date we captured them, and we mark inclusions we have not verified as unknown rather than guessing. The three questions on this page are the fastest way to find out which explanation applies to the two quotes in front of you.
Can a university buy a G1 EDU directly from the manufacturer?
Not through a consumer checkout. The research tiers route to a sales enquiry rather than a cart, so there is no published direct price for an institutional buyer to compare a domestic quote against. Purchase orders, terms and formal quotes are dealer-side services; our quote desk handles the paperwork end.
