What the T800 Basic Edition is

The Basic Edition is listed at $40,500, above the Full-Size edition at $37,500 and below the Open Source Edition at $54,000.

All three EngineAI T800 editions share one platform: a 173 cm frame, a 29-DOF body, a magnesium-aluminium alloy exoskeleton and a solid-state battery architecture. What separates the editions is hands, compute and component longevity — not the chassis. EngineAI opened its Shenzhen line on May 29, 2026 and the T800 has been a shipping product in its home market since; the dollar prices here exist because a US dealer channel made them real.

Before you order

Read the ladder carefully: the dealer lists the Full-Size edition below the Basic Edition. That is what its own listings say, and we publish prices as found rather than reorder them into a tier story — which also means the edition names alone will not tell you what you are buying. Two figures not to confuse with these. EngineAI announced the T800 series from RMB 180,000 in its home market; converting that into dollars is where the widely circulated headline number comes from, and a currency conversion is not a price — a landed US cost carries import, duty, compliance and support that the conversion does not. And on compliance: at our check on August 20, 2026 BotInfo found no FCC equipment authorization on record for the T800, and we have not re-verified it since.
